A screenshot can help, but please remove personal information first. Do not send passwords, payment details, or identification documents for app support.
Getting started
No account is required. Choose a location manually, or allow optional location access. Sky Finder can be explored by dragging the chart, or by using the optional phone-pointing controls. Moon times and nighttime illumination estimates use your selected place and date.
Location and phone pointing
If location is unavailable, choose a place manually. If phone pointing is unavailable or looks misaligned, use the manual sky chart, move away from metal or magnets, and try the app’s alignment controls. You can review the app’s location and motion permissions in iPhone Settings.
Using the app offline
The bundled sky chart, moon calculations, park overview, and saved wildlife progress work offline. Live weather, cloud maps, videos, and websites require internet access. Forecast availability varies by location and date; try again when connected or select another supported place or date.
Wildlife bingo and saved progress
Yellowstone is the initial reviewed wildlife collection. Other park collections are marked as previews. Tap a wildlife tile to mark a sighting and tap again to undo it. Progress is stored on your device. Removing the app can remove its locally saved progress.
Shop, videos, and website links
Current app builds open these links separately in Safari, your default browser, or the associated app. Return to NVR After Dark to continue where you left off. Earlier TestFlight builds may open links inside the app. Available equipment videos are marked with a watch option; other videos are labeled as coming soon.
